Nature photography refers to a wide array of photos taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscape (see Landscape Photography), wildlife, plants and close-ups of natural scenes and textures. Nature photography tends to put more emphasis on the aesthetic value of the photo of photography from other genres, such as photojournalism and documentary photography.
Photos of nature are published in the science, travel and cultural magazines such as National Geographic Magazine and Audubon magazines or other more specific and outdoor Nature Photographer and Best Cinematography. Well known nature photographer Frans Lanting include, Galen Rowell and Art Wolfe.
